Default Spring compressors

For those who like to get their hands dirty, can anyone recommend some decent spring compressors- yes there's load on fleaBay but the idea of some cheap crap letting go/breaking under pressure scares me! Any recommendations? Laser, Draper etc?

I've got the Laser ones from Halfords for I think £30.
Plenty good/strong enough for occasional use.

Laser, Sealey, Draper ... all OK ............ however, if its for the rear the Laser & Sealey will not fit as they are too long to clear the top spring seat and lower arm.

I used some very old Sykes that I had in the workshop and they just about did the job OK.

Ideally something like this would be a better fit as it would probably clear the lower arm mount

The fronts should not be an issue with the strut off the car.

I bought a set from eBay and they are very good and strong. Just to be on the safe side I used two sets on each spring. It helps compress the spring a lot squarer allowing you to locate the spring correctly when replacing and still only cost just over £20.
