Is there a way to confirm it has adaptive cruise control? As I say looking online even on approved used Volvo the listings are so bad, with lots of irrelevant info. I know I’d have to ask to confirm, but don’t want to email/phone every one I see. If I can tell someone myself from either a description or photo?

So if you get winter pack with heated seats and windscreen, do you automatically also get heated steering? Where is the button for heated steering? On the touchscreen?

The heated windscreen, is that the button below the touchscreen that looks like windscreen, or again is this on the touchscreen.

Thanks

The only way to 100% tell is to open settings and see if it's an option in there on the newer stuff, you won't be the first expecting it to be there and it wasn't either,if the option isn't there it's standard cruise with speed limiter.

I don't know if you get it automatically and unless it's moved you can activate it in the central screen.

Heated window is a button still near the hazard light switch.

I stand to be corrected, but I think all XC40's from 2018 were fitted with adaptive cruise control.

I also agree that most specifications listed on Autotrader are cr*p!

Adaptive Cruise was always a option across the board except for the launch model First Edition. It is one of the Special Value Packs, specifically Intellisafe Pro. The price and specification list for MY* 18/19 and even the MY 2020 Edition 3 show it as an option, so may extend to early MY 21 vehicles.

It would be prudent to check if buying a used XC40 around this age and is a must have.

If you're distance buying don't take the salesman's word for it he will tell you it's there and then "my bad" it later, ask whoever you talk to to video the car and then show it as a working function in the settings screen.

Layman's terms, can you shoot the outside of the car and then the inside and show the tick box to select ACC on the central screen.

Yeh I have a list of my specific details I'm wanting and would ask again before buying as it will be a distant sell.

I do use cruise, but most of my driving is around town, so I'm not 100% if not having adaptive would be a "no buy" if I'm honest. Obviously prefer to have everything!

Regarding the seats on basic momentum spec. Don't seem to have the leg extensions like others. How are the seats on this spec?

I'm also still looking for the brochure of the model year of what I'm looking at specifically it states Jun '20 for 1st reg so presume this is classed as "early 2020" ?

If anyone has a brochure for that showing the tick/bullet points for the specific specs would be great s difficult to fins exact ones,

Seats in momentum are fine - not uncomfortable, but if you are longer than average in the leg you will miss the extensions in the higher spec. One other thing to mention is that momentum spec without sunroof has no lighting in the rear of the cabin. This would be an issue if your backseat passengers like to read/draw/write when on the move at night.

No heated steering with winterpack on momentum, just screen and front seats.
