Electrical: my torsa called "the big white bus"

I am partly through my renovation of my torsa, I have today removed the tailgate to sort out the wiring, and have modified it a little. The central locking does not work so i did not bother rewiring the the motor in the tailgate and have removed it altogether.
I need the following advice please.
1. can i repair the c/l and leave the tailgate key operated, i prefer this for security so no one can open it on the move?
2. can someone give me the colours of the wires in the cars original loom for the tailgate and their exact jobs.

I know the following';
1 blue/black is the brake light.
2 yellow is heated screen, but two wires are in the gate itself black and yellow both live feeds i think?
3. grey, to number plate lamps.
4. black to earth, i have earthed all the motors through one wire now.
5, yellow and purple c/l motor.

The wires in the roof i cant work out are yellow/black stripe appears live all the while.
The brown and black wire. I would appreciate advice or a link to a previous thread to show the exact diagram,
