Yes - I was advised ages ago to keep Volvo 240 estates out of sight, as these guys don't worry about 'buying' if they can hoist it out in seconds. Yet if you tell the Police all they do is give you a crime number. Thats what happened when my sons van was pinched from outside his home: fortunately it was driven to outside a house some 20 miles away and blocked a drive. The house owners couldn't get their car in and found the van drivers door open and one of my sons invoices atop the dash. They rang us, my son had a spare key and we went to go get it. We told the Police where we found it (undamaged) and the Surrey boys didn't even know where the town (on the A25 so not remote) was.... Makes one very worried....
If said gent's 240 is an estate I'd be interested at that sort of price, as mine is now 'resting' in an orchard with no clutch.....

I've tried to find out any information about this car, but there's nothing!

John Wigley - did you once upon a time own my beloved Amazon Estate?

No, sorry. I've owned many Volvos, but I have never had an Amazon; something I now regard as a regrettable omission.

Regards, John.
