For traders, eBay is just another way of getting a wider audience to see what you’re selling. I’d also be looking on autotrader.co.uk At the moment, they’re showing 242 diesel XC90’s registered between 2007 and 2010. They’re a mix of private and trade.

Yes, there are plenty of commercial car auctions, the biggest are BCA/Mannheim.

Given your plans, it might be worth talking to one of the secondhand Volvo specialists like Ravenscroft to see if you could get a deal where they’d guarantee a buy back at the end of the adventure.
