If by that you mean I'll be necking a four pack of xxx-strength domestic lager whilst in my underpants, then I prefer to refer to that as having my usual table in the snug..

To the OP's original point, if it were me, I'd be sufficiently confident of success to risk the purchase of a non-matching part numbered unit.
Worse case, it won't work and you'll be putting it back on eBay at a manageable loss.

Thanks for advice.
TBH I was thinking about eBay solution as you suggested. I have nearly 2 months to find it, as MOT is due in September. Thanks again |

Xenon Headlamp.
The following will not come as any consolation to what is a nightmare....
I have a 2006 V70 . Several weeks ago I hit a Pheasant which smashed my offside headlamp...only the lens bye the way. As I was on a time restriction I plunged straight onto all the relevant sites for a replacement, quickly to find that this part is like 'hens teeth'....used. To cut a long story/search I was left with no option but to buy the whole new. For the princely sum of £1300.00 I now have a lovely shiny headlamp unit. Some may have said get rid of the car but no.....although 2006 it has only got 70.000 on the clock and is bye the way the best motor I have owned in 75 years of motoring !

Thank you all for help.
Hopefully those number parts would help I've just got back of holiday so try to find some headlight in next couple of weeks. Has anyone of you people changed headlight lens only? There are some on eBay or Amazon. The only thing is - country of manufacturing... Another question - I did not find answer yet - I need drivers side front wing also. Is there any different between front wings before lift and after? My is 2011, can I buy second hand from 2006 or 2010 model? Thanks |

lens
I personally wouldnt attempt to change the lens - it needs cut off with a Dremel or similar tool and although its possible, you may as well buy a replacement headlight on ebay

this is a bargain at £120 although as you can see its a bit beat up - depends on your budget and what you are prepared to accomodate. The key thing is that that the 4 securing pin guides are in 1 piece and that the 3 mounting posts are also in 1 piece. The cosmetic damage on the lens could be minimized with some fine grit (2000) wet and dry sandpaper, although the crack and hole might be trickier but not impossible. For £120 could be a cheap interim solution and you'd prolly get most of that back when you get a more permanent solution. |
