Holy crap really?!
So did they take the wheels or just the discs / calipers? Must've taken some time to get them off! Im not a fan of locking nuts but needs must. I use a dog that works for me lol soon as someones on the drive he knows. |

A classic case of "stolen to order", many years ago a friend of mine who lived in Old Windsor had a black VW Golf, one morning he came downstairs to find his bonnet, bonnet stay and windscreen wipers gone, no damage to the car and they even left the bolts behind. He had a right go at me as he thought I had done it with one of our mates as a prank, and it took a long time to convince him otherwise!
I have been thinking about getting these locking wheel bolts, as the Volvo ones are so bad! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3305186455...84.m1438.l2649 |

The car was resting on the wheels, as in it was sat ontop of them. One of my rims is now scuffed and all of them had no kerb marks . From what i gather atleast. Ill go out there at 6am to start putting the new calipers and disks on. I think they saw my bedroom light fluck on and scarpered the braided hoses are ok but probably eyed up. and a mini jack under the middle of the car (the ones that are put in cars boots for emergencies)

Jesus christ. Hope you get it sorted.
It does not really matter what locking bolt kit you have with the removal devices on the market if they want it they will have it you can only really put off the opportunistic ones. |

There is a mobile pet shop that comes on our estate and the lad has a HUGE long wheel base Mercedes van,he came out of his house last week and his whole exhaust system was gone!! Not cut off,but very carefully removed. His insurance company got it sorted very quickly ,but he says it was going to cost them well over £1200.

As it is my V70 has no locking wheel nuts so I'll be very interested in what reply's you get. |

Eh? you sure ^ I thought nearly all current models came with locking wheel nuts which were McGard with rotating collar? The set from Volvo are about £50-60.

I cant recall having had a car in the past 15 years that hasn't had locking wheel nuts, even the LandRover has them (big ones )

i think the idea of airbags behind the wheelcap should be revived, who was it that suggested that on here first time around?
