  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default vibrating/shaking gear stick at 70

If i take my foot of the accelerator between 65-75 the gear stick shakes a lot and rattles like hell, any ideas what it could be? im doing the clutch today so it will be a good time to look

Cool

Have a look at your gearbox (and engine) mountings. One or more may be missing or damaged or just loose.

Or possibly just the bushes under your gear lever are worn.

Hi,

Might also be the drive shaft centre bearing/mounting. Worth checking that seeing as you're under the car..

It possibly has been the victim of `stick holding` which damages the bearings on the gear stick joint to the box.
