Default c70 m11 boot lock

hi peeps my boot opens when i ta,e the key out of the ignition .
Any ideas to fix this problem

what year is your car is it a face lift with keyless entry? are you useing the key in the dash or the black plastic knob that fits the dash apature

its the mk2 with the big plastic phob which goes into the dash

Hi there,

It is likely that there is a problem with the lock itself, i had a similar problem but with my door locks (would open whilst driving!) had them replaced earlier in the year, no more issues.
Possibly worth looking at a second hand unit, but there is no guarantee it would not have the same issue.

are you takeing the dash knob out of the dash ? the true metal key is in the remote fob .turn off the car leave the knob in the dash and lock the car with the small button on the door or press lock on the fob this is how our c70 lock works hope this helps

Had quick look at the lock tonight .
Can anyone tell me how to remove the plastic trim so i can remove it .

there is a pdf file available for the roof system this should cover the boot lock as its parts are connected with the roof operation .

Ok thank you..I went to the car today and it was working .
Very strange I thought.
Could it be dampness in the boot?as I did have a lot of tools in there
