I’m getting stung right left and centre with my vehicles.
Only another 4.5k in road tax and 13 MOTs for my baby to get through, before it's EXEMPT! 🥳

I think its all part of the plan though. My opinion is in future, older cars will be taxed to the hilt (more than now), which will basically force the owner's of them to get rid of them or trade them in for something newer/more environmentally friendly. Its unlikely that someone with an old car is going to keep paying through the roof to have it on the road, when there's newer alternatives that'll be a fraction of the cost because they meet emissions standards for these clean air zones.

EV's will pay £180 next year. That's still half of what an older diesel pays now, or even more than half for those vehicles paying the £695 per year currently.
My Volvo is 2008 D5 SE Sport Awd Polestar
My Merc is 1999 SL320 straight six
Neither or ulez scam compliant so I don’t vist places that dictate I must comply
Must admit the tax is becoming a burden. But I dumped the Lexus CT200H for the Volvo. Can’t stand anything about electric vehicles
Nothing at all.
