Default V70 D5 series 2 oil consumption

Needed to top up the oil a second time in as many months. No puddles on the drive, so what would be top of the list?

(200k miles)

Also came up with 'soot filter full'. We have changed the usage of the car - it has longer idle patches but could this be related?

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Any other problem will result in blue smoke or oil at some other place it would leak.
And due to the oil in the dpf the pressure builds up and i wouldnt be surprised its regenerating like crazy

First off, the euro 4 2.4 5 cylinder should not be filled to the top of the dipstick markings, the max level is no higher than three xxx showing.
I would use VIDA to check the DPF pressure sensor and temp sensor - this can prevent a regen.
