Aircon Blowing Hot Air Through Vents
I have a 2001 S40 1.8 Sport, my aircon is blowing hot air through the vents with the temp on cold and blower setting on full with the direction to dash vents. It does not do it all the time if I turn of the ignition and leave it for 15mins or so then restart the car, the aircon blows out ice cold air very confused please help many thanks

i had this same problem a couple of weeks ago on a '98 V40 T4 model - hot air on cold setting.
i hovered the little vents (the sensor) approx 1 inch in size, next to the air con switches. this sorted the problem, and has been blowing cold since. if this does not work, i have heard someone mention a possible 'relay' or other electrical fault - but luckily i did not have to investigate this further on mine. best of luck, hope it sorts it out. |

s40 aircon blower hot air
Thanks for the reply but I dont have a temp sensor next to the aircon switch I have manual aircon not climate control so guess it wont be a quick fix then. Open to any futher advice.
