Default AirCon pipe repair

Thought you guys might like to see my reapir to my air con after the catch tank came loose and rubbed a whole in it. Everything had already leaked out so there was no issues with taking it off. As you can see Cleaned up, braised and material added, then shaped and cleaned before refitting and pipe insulation round the bit incase of further issues.

I used the air compressor to blow air through it as i did the repair this helped keep it cooler and to ensure I didn't block the pipe. Aluminium is around 500-600 degrees melt and the torch I have is around 1200 I think.

I used a sanding drum on the Dremel and a fine grit sanding pand for the shaping etc.

Pipe as it came from the car,

Light chemical clean,

First light sand,

Final clean ready for brasing,

Kit used,

Material added,

Finished thing before refitting
