Have you stuck it on gumtree and autotrader? Honestly, you will get more responses I expect
I paid 3k for a 2004 s60 D5 SE with 59k on the clock. Your car does look great though and honestly, if I hadn't just got mine, I would be haggling with you right now!

Back in 2006 I needed rid of my Ford Fiesta - toured trade sites and dealers for a morning and I sold it for what I considered a reasonable sum (about £750-1k less than what could be achieved in a private sale). I took a hit in the pocket, but at least the car was gone within 4hrs of beginning the process!! The only thing you can do to mitigate the sting of selling these days is to make sure that you get an equally good deal when buying

If I could scrape the money together, I'd be interested..but scrounging together even £3k for me is a tad tricky, £4k harder still. So I'm kinda interested but 4k is a bit too rich for me. Hopefully you'll get a better offer from someone else If not I'll keep watching... Last edited by S60 PNV; Oct 29th, 2012 at 21:50. |

i have just joined this forum as i am interested in a D5, but i need to sell my Passat TDI sport first.
I am amazed at the price diffrence on these. I orginally had a budget of £6500 for around a 2006 with 50-60K on the clock but maybe i could get a much better deal than that - as times are hard and it is a buyers market. Would it best to for a low mileage example or a cheaper high mileage example (80-90k)? I would prefer a manual, but id the price was right would go auto. |

FYI I've put down a deposit on the vehicle being advertised in this thread, so it's taken...subject to me paying the man the rest of the money and collecting it
I do know a chap selling a manual 2004 D5 S in Suffolk, decent car, but he owes around half the value to a finance company. You can find it on Gumtree. |

ok, no worries
i will look that one in Ipswich up. But i have found a minter in Hitchin, manual, 43K, 55 plate £5900, just had cambelt done, FVSH etc....seems like a good price to me so will go and have a look. There are hundreds to choose from so there is no rush for me! |

SlimTim, in your neck of the woods I spotted this one advertised which I was going to view had I not made an offer on the car this thread was (originally!) about;
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1244491062853/ Not seen it but on paper it looks good... |

I havent gone and looked at one yet, i must try and stop myself from rushing, and be patient! I have to sell my car ( hopefully get 4.5k)
I am still unsure of what car to get...Mondeo Titanium x ( new shape), mazda 6 sport 2.2, or the volvo...i think the Volvo as i want the 185Bhp power, but the boot is a stupid shape and the lights on the rear are gay. I would love the V70 but they are too expensive in comparison. The 2 good ones i have spotted are here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-55-VO...item3ccc433a85 But there is also this private sale on piston heads - only 27K! http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/c...rt-2005/887822 I will go and look at the one in Hitchin but will go with the intention of haggling as there are loads to choose from! |
