Exclamation cracked headlights

Hi I have a 2018 XC90, it doesn't do a lot of miles. About a month ago the small spider vein cracks appeared on both front headlights. This has now developed into full blow cracks, water has gotten in and now lights are malfunctioning.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Might I suggest that you post your message in the SPA (XC90/S90/V90/XC60) forum page as you are likely to get more responses from owners who may have experienced your problem.

I have a 2017 V90 with similar headlamps, LED, active high beam, shadow technology etc. and have no visible cracks or defects. Owing to the complexity and cost of these lamps on your 2018 XC90 I would be heading straight to the dealer for warranty attention as replacements will be several thousands!

I had an issue recently where I noticed fine cracks on both my headlights on my 2018 XC90. It's mostly garage parked so not exposed to strong sunlight very often. It was under warranty and both headlights were replaced. The service technician said it could possibly be car detailing products that can enhance the strength of the sunlight and possibly be the cause of this. So I am now avoiding any detailing products contacting the headlights. Worth a try.
