Think you could do with reducing it a further 2k to get any sort of interest realistically.

Cheers

The thing is, in post 13 Andypants admits he has no idea of value. However, when there is advice on value, the threads are removed!!

I have seen so many of these posts where someone posts an ad and every man and his dog come on line to tell the poster how over priced it is followed by examples at rock bottom prices often resulting in insults. Que the ‘it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay’.

Well actually there is a world of difference between someone that requires the car gone today for a house deposit/operation and someone who is willing to wait and attempt to get the best price and the op can ask what ever they wish for their vehicle.

It seems here that the op is in no mad hurry to sell the vehicle and is willing to wait for the right buyer who may or may not come along.

It’s not for me but it’s clearly a lovely car, well looked after and offered for sale by someone who wants top dollar and not to shift it on in 48 hours.

Good luck with the sale, it looks great and I hope you and the buyer settle on a price you are happy with.

To those saying it’s only worth a grand, go and buy one for that!

Look, I'm hoping to have a job change which not only comes with a company vehicle, but the company has told me there are no restrictions on personal use ?
Now...I have no plans on selling my beloved C70.
But...what if, I get to a point where it's not being used enough and I decide to sell ?
I woukd be in a similar position to Andypants...because I believe mine is one of the best examples and yes I've spent way more than its worth looking after it.
And yes I would say in my advert, I'm looking for strong money for the car and give evidence as to why (although I can't imagine asking the equivalent increase that Andy has asked)....but I imagine my price would exclude a lot of buyers and only be interesting to those who wanted a superb example to keep and cherish.
And yes, I would fully expect to get similar comments to those that Andy has had ?
I think the key point here, that seems to have ruffled feathers, is his attitude and obvious frustration toward other club members who were just offering advice ?
Personally....I feel like Andy does about the way I have pampered and cared for my car...and if I can, no matter what I will hang to my C70 but if I find myself in a position to have to sell, I wiĺl at least appreciate my asking price is a little higher than average, and accept people's comments accordingly, without appearing hostile or rude to fellow members.
I'm afraid that's the best I can say on the matter.
Best wishes
Dave

Thank you, that is exactly it and I said it many posts ago

I am in no desperate rush or even need to sell, I wish people would accept that.

We do accept it, we just think you're asking at least twice what its worth.

With all due respect so what? He has listed a car for sale that’s the end of it. You don’t go through auto trader emailing people regarding their price. I have to say I think the original op has put up with a lot of noise over this. As for my opinion... well that’s not relevant. It’s a clean nice looking car and that’s all I have to say.
