Rear fogs coming on on their own.
Hi all, as the title suggests really, I have noticed that for some unknown reason, when I'm driving with the headlights on, the rear foglights come on of their own accord, it's as if I have switched them on as the orange light on the dash illuminates to tell me. If I press the on off switch they turn back off, but always come back on again, might take 30 seconds, might be 10 minutes later, but they always come back on again.
I initially thought that my tapping into the back of the headlight switch multi plug to feed the light in my boost gauge was the cause of it, but then i remembered that I disconnected that the other day because it's ridiculously bright, unless of course I've buggered something up in the very short time I had it connected. Any ideas people? Many thanks in advance

If they're left alone long enough, do they switch themselves off again?
I'm wondering if the switch has loose contacts internally, or if there's a short somewhere in the wires elsewhere. |

I'm not sure canis, haven't tried that yet as didn't want to annoy other drivers so I've just been turning it off again, I'm looking to replace the switch anyway as the back lighting doesn't work, even with new bulbs all 3 sockets are dead and 0v with the multi meter, so grabbing another switch will probably be the best way.

Be sure to get one for the correct year. There are radical differences between phases.
