Default Servicing Costs XC60 T8

Hi

I hope that this is in the correct forum, I couldn't find an area for servicing.

Looking for advice on servicing costs, 2nd service for XC60 T8 Hybrid.

From main dealer have been quoted £540 and £440 does anyone have a better price that they have achieved?

Thanks

Hi,

You might get some help from the guys on the sub forum on here that caters for the SPA models (XC60; XC90; V60; V90 etc) it starts XC60 ‘17>/.....

There is a service indicator on the Volvo website that gives you an idea of the cost for your particular model.

Hope that helps

You don't have to go to a main dealer for your servicing. If there's a local Independent Volvo Specialist nearby, why not give them a try? Usually, they're cheaper simply because they don't have the huge overheads that dealerships have. A Specialist can service your vehicle using genuine parts to the recommended Volvo specifications & it doesn't affect your warranty either.

If you're willing to travel to Manchester, there's two garages to try (Hallmark Volvo in Stockport & Trevor Burgess in Hyde - Both are Independent Specialists & get great reviews). I imagine it'd be about an hour drive, maybe less for you & to my knowledge, they have courtesy vehicles. Or, have a look on Google to see if there's any more local Independent Specialists nearer to you, or maybe someone on here could recommend one in the West Yorkshire area.

Proper, fully trained and high voltage system equipped Volvo independents with a good reputation are very, very thin on the ground. Hell, even some dealers have dropped the Volvo franchise due to the cost of training and equipment required to work on T8's, so the odds of an independent being equipped and competent to work on one is very low indeed.

Resign yourself to dealer servicing as - most likely - the only viable option, which means ringing round dealers within a sensible radius to see who's cheapest of whether you can play them off against one another for a bit of a discount.

If you are a VOC Member, you should be able to get a 10% discount off the Service cost.
