Didnt hear back from eBay, least it was only about £35 I think it was, still, not the point so may raise a dispute yet....

Gonna speak to Willows idea later, hopefully still in business....

PS, poss snow/sleet Friday.....
Any improvement with a wide open throttle?

Might take a couple of days before the ebay seller responds so give it another 48 hours before opening a dispute then nobody can argue that you've been impatient.

Worryingly i just tried the ebay shop for NVS only to find it no longer exists, i hope it's an ebay anomaly and they are still going.

Hi, Sadly no difference, i dont know whether to swap the injector back, at least that didn't fart for about 20 seconds, I think it may start a bit quicker than the other injector though, it shouldn't need coding or anything like that should it?

The seller still has other items on there so I'm not overly worried as yet

I'm not sure on the coding and keep forgetting yours is the new-fangled electronic control for the diesel. That means there's probably a MAF somewhere and also an engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
I'm wondering if the former is partially blocked and/or dirty and if the latter is on its way out. Usually (on petrols at least) if the CTS is getting tired the resistance goes up telling the ECU that it's colder than it really is.

Worth checking the MAF isn't partially blocked, the air filter is clean and no splits/pinholes in the hose between the MAF and throttle body - any air leaks here could reduce the amount of diesel being fed into the engine causing some/all of your problems. Likewise a blacked or dirty MAF will do the same.

oh, nearly forgot, there is one small technical issue, all of the glow plug connector tubing is broken, the actual connector is still cover albeit with a crack in the tubing, I also made 100% sure that all connectors have a good purchase on the glow plug so prob not worth mentioning but thought I best do

From the sound of it that's only a cosmetic problem. Also i checked the wiring diagram and yes, you do have a MAF so worth checking there are no leaks between it and the throttle body and no blockages on the inlet of it - air filter side.

Ah, sound like I shouldn't need Vida for location now then, thanks
I will have a look, btw, if it is dirty, can i do anything to it, anything to be aware of, am i right in thinking its sensitive so handle with care? I do have some brake cleaner...

Brake cleaner is a bit vicious for cleaning the MAF with, contact cleaner (mostly IPA, get one without a lubricant) is better. I've found that disconnecting both hoses from the MAF, spraying first in the "reverse" direction, let it soak, spray in the normal direction of air flow then reconnect the manifold-side hose, start up and give a few squirts in through the open end while the engine is running seems to work the best.

This may cause the revs to rise as it will cool the sensor down making the ECU think the revs are higher so will compensate with extra fuel - probably.

It is sort of fragile so definitely handle with care!

Typical, that's all I have. I have the mag off the car at present, trying to see how dirty it is, can't tell, even with a torch. :/

In that case, be very sparing with it! You don't have any IPA (IsoPropyl Alcohol) at all?
