P0102 & P0112 2003 xc90
Hi everyone
I'd like to pick your collective brains again please! Over the last month or so my XC90 needs longer to crank before starting, but it's not yet failed to start. In this cold weather it's taking over 5 seconds of cranking to start. I replaced the glow plugs a couple of months ago but it didn't help. About 4 months ago my bike mechanic did a health check on the battery which was ok, but I've just put a meter across it and it reads 12.05V - not great - although it doesn't sound sluggish turning over. Although the engine management light hasn't come on, I plugged my OBD II reader in and it's got 2 pending codes: P0102 and P0112. My scan tool manual says these codes are low input on MAF & IAT circuits. The battery is now on charge. Is it possible these codes could have been triggered by low battery voltage at some point or is there something else going on? Any help and advice would be appreciated ........thanks in advance Tony |

Update
Morning all.
Just a quick update. Battery on charge all day yesterday, reading 13.5V now. Started after 2.7 secs cranking (temperature is 5C this morning). I've taken it for a 20 minute drive and reset the fault codes. Hopefully that's it cheers Tony |
