Blower motor wht do I do ?
Hi
I'm having trouble to find a blower motor for my lovely 164 I have found a blower motor that may be ok, but then I have to "destroy" the blower housing when the new fan motor is 10-15 mm. larger than the old blower motor - and I will not! See photo on the link here; http://s1265.photobucket.com/user/10...f707.jpeg.html What should I do? Good day.

I have a motor that came from my 1970 145, but from your picture it looks to be different?
I have recently refurbished and fitted a complete new unit as the matrix was leaking on my original, but the motor is in perfect condition!

Hello
The big problem is that Volvo has so far spent a lot different blower motor. They have been upgraded and changed in a big way, so nothing is "normal". The one you have do not fit - unfortunately. But thanks for help. good day

164 blower motor
I am currently dismantling a '71 Volvo 164: bearing in mind what you say
regarding different sizes etc do you think the one in this car would fit your later car? Is it just the motor you want? Can you state the important dimensions so I can check mine for you. Paul |

I think the OP's 164E TE will be from the later years, probably the last model dashboard (starting model year '73). That year has a completely different heatinr and blower than before. And a version with a coombined AC unit.

Hello
Thanks for the post, I found an "almost" new - from a volvo guy there in DK who has scrapped a large number of 164 He just has everything - wonderful. Note how do I "write" I on my threads that the well should be deleted? Br. Timo.
