Regardless of what was fitted originally a PO may have been to work and who knows what's on there now.
I have the glass lens H7 set up and there is a manual adjust on the top of the motor spindle at the back of the headlamps. Little white thing. I had trouble with the passenger side motor not lifting the lamp. Opening it up, I freed off the jammed pinion and it's been good as gold some years now.
Did I mention that you will forget to turn the sidelights off?
Ha, I’m not sure I’m getting it...

Completely agree with you about the human element being a weak link. Ideally making side lights into DRL is the best option, but is it doable ?

[RANT] I don't get what's wrong with original DRLs?
Decent Phillips H7 bulbs are 5£ a piece and last more than year.
Original looks and pleasant for other drivers eyes.
Also, I hate people using fog lights in great visibility, specially when the road is wet and it mirrors to the eye.[/RANT]

Only half of them are using the fog lamps, they are on a Rallye Stage in their heads. The other half haven't the foggiest idea whether their foglamps or any other lamps for that matter, are on or not.

As I’m getting older, sigh, I can’t see as well at night time so a better bulb or a whiter light really does make a difference. I can put up with the standard bulb but have found the Night breakers to be a bit better. They are £30 or more per pair plus fitting so would be a bit tiresome to use their lifetime quicker with the DRL’s. however if that must be then that must be.

Would like to add I am not a rally stager, unaware bulber, Bobby dazzler or in it for looks.

Hi!
If you are looking for better H7s then look for PHILIPS 12972VPC2.
It's a VisionPlus bulb pair in a wholesale package and I can get the pair for 6,40£ on mainland.
It's a great balance between lifetime and light temperature.
Too white and it doesn't really help with vision in the dark, specially in wet conditions.
