Default Left handside headlights

I have set my headlights to dip to the right as i am holiday in France. I keep getting a message that I have a fault with the headlights and to see Service. I have turned them back to dip to the left and I still get the message. can anyone help?

What is the exact message, and are all bulbs in the units working?

If you get the headlamp service message briefly after starting your engine then its a sign of low battery voltage.Give battery a good charge ,check and top up acid level if its not a sealed battery . If its a sealed type then charge and check voltage . After standing for a couple of hours after a good charge battery should show between 12.5 and 13 v .If its down to 12v then its time to replace.

The battery voltage is ok. The lights are working correctly both set to right dip and left dip. The message only comes on as you drive along and stays on for a short while and goes off. Then it comes on again. It does this regularly.

I still have the problem. I now think I have found the cause of the problem. When I went to France I set the headlights to dip to the right. I forgot to turn off the bending dip. Now the lights are reset to dip to the left side I get the message there is a fault and the bending dip does not work. The message still shows with the bending turned off. I have had the message/code turned off but it has come on again. It would appear that the fault is the bending dip system. Can anyone shed light, sorry for that, on the answer.

Default Found the answer

In the end the fault was the front leveling switch behind the front right wheel.
