I meant to order one the other week and never got round to it . my current 3 month one runs out middle of this month
I put a watch on the 12month 12Gb one, and did get notified that it was back in stock. But when I go to their web site It still says Out Of Stock

There’s an EE one that’s in stock? 2GB a month for six months so not quite as flexible.

Just Curious?
I have been using the Three data SIM cards for years and the card numbers have always started with 074********.
The last two that I bought from MyMemory, the number starts with 073********. It is too early to start using these new cards and wondered if they will be ok? tem.

Can I ask are you using these cards to access the internet rather than using data in your phone?? I'm just about to get to xc90 kids have iPads so just wondering what I need to get to allow them onto internet. Can I connect my phone and then they they connect via tethering or is it beetter to have data card and go via that. Thanks for any advice

I am sure you will get a number of responses advising one-way-or-another
For me it is convenience. I have a healthy 15Gb a month on my phone, so planned to use that. But you have to remember to tether the phone each time, which is a pain. You get 100 yards down the road, realise, stop, connect,... There are apps for the phone to help automate these (MacroDroid, Automate,...) but I found they did not always work - most of the time they did, but on occasions it was back to stop 100 yards down the road, connect,... It was probably to do with the way I used my phone, but I would like technology to help me, not dictate to me. I tend to keep my phone in the centre console, and find the signal is pretty weak. I know others have said there signal is find, but I find it not so. I usually get better signal with the car based SIM Others used dedicated MyFi systems, and like them, but I just want simplicity. So for me, £10 for three months or c.a. £30 for a year for a dedicated car SIM works best for me. No hassle, no fuss, no wiring, ... As I said, others use other options and I am sure will offer their advise - use what works for you. Would suggest try tethering to your phone when you 1st get the car, see how it goes for a few days/weeks/months. if it is working well for you stick with it. if it is not, try a 3 month 3Gb card for £10 from Argos or just go for 12Gb, 12 Month one (say from MyMemory, when they are back in stock) Depending on what is being done on the iPads though, you might chew through data at an alarming rate (my daughter went through 12Gb in a weekend trip to the Lakes watching movies on her tablet). There is the option of the dedicated Media Server I guess, but believe it is quite expensive Just my thoughts - I am sure others will offer advise based on their experiences

I live in Portugal.
Does the roaming come activated, and if not is it possible to activate it if you don't live in the UK? How good is coverage outside of the UK? |
