Default S60 Drivers electric seat loose/rocking

Hi,

Has anyone experienced any slight backward and forward movement in the drivers seat, usually during hard acceleration and braking? The electric seat still works perfectly, but its more annoying than anything. So was just wondering if there was any quick fix or any bolts to tighten?
Thanks

Mine does it slightly, maybe nothing more than a slight movement sometimes. I've not let it worry me so far and after 13k miles it's not getting worse.

How much is slight for you? For me I'd guess it moves about 5mm or so.

My 850 did this slight movement (tilt) when braking accelerating hard - I lived with it for 9 years, I suppose you just get used to it.

There is a technical bulletin for this problem, can't recall the number. It involves the removal of two rivets used as the hinges at the front of the seat runners and replacement with two small bolts. I think with a decent drill bit it is possilble to do it yourself without removing the seat.

Ah, so mine isnt the only one that does it. I'll have a look at the rivets over Christmas and if it looks like an easy job then i'll give it a go.

I did take mine to the stealers to get it looked at and they initially wanted to change the runners until I mentioned the tech bulletin.

Default Same issue in a 2013 V60

Hi

I have a similar issue on a 2013 V60 which I recently purchased from a main dealer as a Volvo select second hand.
They say nothing can be done..

Were the seats still the same design in 2013.

Is there any further info about this problem or does anyone have details of the mentioned technical bulletin or any other information about newer vehicles specifically V60 that i can use to motivate them..

Thanks in advance..

I’ve got the same issue on my 04 S60. Was resigned to just living with it but may have to look at this “technical bulletin.”
