I’ve done some further research into this, and in 2008 heated seats were standard on the SE Lux, but by 2011 they were optional.

04 2.4 Petrol SE with heated seats (but its a geartronic so LoB can grin )
which to be honest is a very nice thing in winter with leather

170bhp is 170bhp,, it moves when poked, not as rabid as a T5 would but its no slouch at all, there is More than enough instant ooomh to shift you from normal motorway speeds to "ooo eck mabel"
mpg wise i believe there isnt much between the two
biggest "ah" most will have is the gearbox being geartronic

Yep, my 2012 only had them because I spec'd the winter pack
