Default Alternate Wheels for C30?

What other wheels will fit the C30?
I'm happy with the 16" but the standard dustbin lid 'Libra' alloys have started to corrode badly so I thought that some different alloy wheels might be a good alternative to spending £300 for a refurb.
So, I'm guessing that some Volvo wheels will fit, maybe Ford or Mazda?

Thoughts gratefully received, maybe there's somewhere that will swap my Libra wheels for something.

the measurments that matter are pcd. need to be 5x108. The centre bore for the hub. Think its 63(.4?). and the offset. on the 17 x 7j its a 52 offset. The width of the rim and tyre will change the required offset if going with something wider.

Once you know the wheels, you need to make sure the rolling radius of the tyres is the same as your standard set up. This will mean your gearing stays correct and your speedo and computer stay correct. As well as things like abs.

standard tyre for 17s is 205 50 R17. So if this was your standard set up, going to18s, you want a 225 40 R18.

Since you have started with 16s, if they are stock, use an online calculator for your current tyres and choose a wheel tyre combination with the same rolling radius (circumference).

If you change the circumference you are potentially needing software updates to correct your speedo which is daft.

hope this helps

Alright mate. Seems that you know what you're talking about.
I'm looking to swap today my 205/55/16 for a Mondeo ST 18s. 225/40/18. The exact spec but wider.
Do I need spacers?

Shouldnt need spacers, im running 235/40/18 with no spacers and fits perfectly well. Thats probably the widest I would go really.

if they are the same offset as your 16' rims, all you need to know is the rim width. with the same offset the inside of the wheel will extend into the arch half the additional width. i.e, a 6j 6 inch rim, going to a 8j 8 inch rim, the wheel will extend 1inch further toward the wheel well. So, there is the possibility of clearence issues. the tyre size can add to this slightly if it had a rim protection profile, but this is usually only on the outisde edge.

You may want to find out the offset and width of the c30 stock 18inch rims, this should give you an idea.

My personal opinion is that the wheel and tyre will fit fine without a spacer. I have stock 17s which is a 7 inch rim and there is plenty of clearance.

Seems that I got e decent deal. I had to PX mine to keep his car a roller.
They need a good refurb but mine didn't look better.
Very well spent £100. highly recommend Mondeo ST wheels. Perfect fit.
