Yea, that was kinda my point its must be a rep/fleet car or something.

@OP - if all checks out and you are happy with it, sure go for it - 200k well kept car may be better than 50k neglected one.
I would just add - if car has xenons, check the self-levelling on start and see if works OK.
have any pics of the car or link to ad?

Just to add to Volvo's "sealed for life" BS I drained the transmission fluid on mine at 80,000 miles & it was brown. Fresh fluid also improved shift quality somewhat.

yes, all those cars had projectors, just most with H7 halogen bulbs. THat was biggest flaw in design (TERRIBLE light output), so FL model had them redesigned, different lenses and I think different halogen bulb - yours should be not that bad as pre-FL model, but its nowhere it should be. FL versions were also available with ABL (active bending lights) with bixenons following wheel turns and those are really good but hard to find in Ireland, not many people specced the car to have them :/

Picked it up today.. very happy with it, pulls great and the auto has some kick down.! Definitely feels like 30 - 40% faster than my old car and the sound from the 5 cylinder.. icing on the cake.

There are no issues with the car apart from needing a good service and detail, is there an indy in Ireland that could do the gearbox and give it a good once over.

what type of oil and weight is used on the 2012 D3 transmission/ gearbox.

here's the Miller's link.. would it be the dsg type oil, and which filter is recommended.

The recommended oil for volvo 1161838 and 1161839 is the millermatic ATF DCT-DSG, is that the correct oil.

I did read a whole thing about 'oil shock' when chaging oil in these gearboxes... apparently there is a whole process of incrementally changing fluid, rather than draining completely and changing for 100% new in one shot... I'm not sure on this so maybe others can comment. I'm aure there is a tried and tested method, I have heard about people causing (revealing?) gearbox issues by doing the oil change.

great video. Don't know the author but all credit to them...

If it's an aw55 gearbox then walkaway. Get a manual. It's a question of when not if the gearbox will siht the bed.
