Blower Resistor Repair
My car is 2001 S40 2.0 T4. Heater fan was not working properly. The blower was accelerating on its own. I think the problem was the blower resistance. There is a transistor inside the blower resistor. Transistor is MJ802. I ordered the transistor from China. New transistor I installed the new transistor. Problem solved. Blower now works fine. There's a picture here

erhan my blower works fine on position 5 but if you put on 1,2,3 or 4 the fan speeds up and slows down on its own. Is this what was happening to your car?

There's a post in the 'articles' sub-forum about this too ...
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=151801 If you're finding your fan speed goes up & down on its own then it might not be the resistor but something inside the heater control unit, so you might want to have a look through some of the previous posts on here to see if they can shed any more light on this for you.

Yes. My problem is the same as yours. My blower was working erratically. But now working good. You are try its. 30864189 OEM no: Blower Resistor. Buy a new blower resistor or repair it. I tried my luck and I did it. I bought a transistor and assembled it. Good luck bro

You should be able to get the MJ802 power transistor from any electronics shop, or ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...mj802&_sacat=0
