Default V60 2.0 diesel correct brake fluid?

Hi. As title states. Will be topping brake fluid up and is there a specific one I should be using? I don’t have a manual to hand as I brought my car in auction. Many thanks.

As your brake pads wear the caliper pistons are pushed out more to maintain close contact to discs, this drops the fluid level, when new pads are fitted the pistons are pushed back and the fluid level rises back to normal, if you top up the fluid when pads are worn, you risk over flowing the master cylinder as the pistons are pushed back. (Brake fluid is a good paint stripper) As long as there are no leaks in the system and level is above minimum you should not need to top up.

Hi there. Thank you for This. Brake hose snapped in an accident causing fluid to leak out. Would like to top it up to the correct level now that it’s repaired.

Hi. Just had a look in the brakes section and it doesn’t mention anything about fluid.
