Default New XC90 pics in Switzerland

Hello folks,

Spotted this brand new XC90 in the multistory car park by Lauterbrunnen Station before our ascent to Murren yesterday.

First sight of this model on the road and it looks better in the flesh compared to photos. Has a slight X5 profile in that it looks a bit shorter than the old XC90 (whether that's true or not, I cannot say).

However, in view of the problems I've personally experienced I think Mrs A would have me 'sectioned' if I buy another Volvo. But this XC90 is a nice looking car?

Arianne

PS. Couldn't resist a shot of the view on the North Face Trail.

Arianne this is your new company car, Test Pilot for Volvo.
seriously your car should be taken back, given a T8 Hybrid XC90 to test until a permanent solution can be sure of working.

Lovely scenic pictures bring back some happy memories. At least you have escaped some rather unpleasant weather in the north of the UK.

I don't think I'd fancy some of those Swiss roads in an XC90. Tooooooo big. Lovely looking car though. Even that front nose is beginning to grow on me.

Agree they look better in the flesh than in photos - there's a white one just like that in my local dealers showroom. Still not convinced by the styling though, I like some of the details but the car is still too rounded overall for my taste. If they hardened up some of the edges and contours I think it would carry the styling (and its size) better.

Gorgeous scenery though!

How I'd love to be there now. Just got back from our tour of the Engadine and Ticino two weeks ago; was in the Jungfrau region two years ago, stayed in Wengen.

I think Volvo's are quite popular in CH. I guess the Volvo brand, as unpretentious and hard-working as it is, goes very well with the similar lovely down-key perspective of the Swiss.
