Radio/cassette wont accept code (sc700) 850 1

Hi,
Recently purchased my volvo850 estate, but find that i cannot input the code to activate the radio.cassette.Display reads 'OFF'.Can any1 suggest what i can do to get it on/ is there a special procedure for inputting the code or am i locked out?

I'm pretty sure its been locked out.... and you'll need to take it to a re-setting mant.

Volvo can do it for you or maybe you can find a private firm (they tend to advertise in Exchange & Mart)

Err don't you just leave the key in position 1 for 2 hours to reset a locked unit? Then call into your local dealer to get the code..?

Or not?

Problem now sorted, needed to be reset by agent ro a man with the right bit of kit.
