Default Radio code

Hi all, I’ve got a 940 with a CR-708 radio but the original code isn’t working so I assume it has been swapped out at some point. I have the serial number and the diode placement but can’t find a way of getting the code.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could get my code?

Thanks

Seems like they will definitely get you the code but don't know what the charge is, if it's a small amount it's worth it?

take the radio into a volvo dealer and they will be able to look up the serial number , radio type and part number to get the correct code .

If you write down the diode placement from 1 to 12 I'll try.
(e.g. 100101110001)
As a last resort, if you remove all diodes the code will be 0000 or 6666.

I checked this out when I posted and everyone on the internet who did this seems to have had a whopping several hundred quid bill from main dealers?

No, not for consulting their computer and looking up the code held by the factory , 5 to 10 minutes work . A lot will do this for free with ID .
