That's great for an 1800 but a bit short for an Amazon. Also the black end bit won't come off to be replaced with a matching Amazon one. It matches an 1800 one.
£9.60 for this with 2 connectors compared to the single connector one from Brookhouse at £78.00! The later won't operate the 240 relay anyway.

Now I need to get my 240 relay.
Thanks for measuring your stalk for me Adam, I agree at 9cm its probably on the short side...

Did you try the switch in the 1800 steering binacle? The connector looks chunky and im concerned it may not fit?
I will wait until you complete the MoD so i can take advantsge of any work arounds you felt necessary!
Thanks again
Russ

My "blue crimp connectors, insulating tape and cable ties have no place in my life" is making this job a complete labour of love. Can't wait to get rid of the hideous switch, light and dreadful wiring.

I'm trying to make the upgrade invisible, but I don't have the heart to drill my dash board for the overdrive warning light, so it's in the steering column shroud together with my momentary switch stalk.

Crikey! I definitely made hard work for myself and could have completed the job in a fraction of the time if hadn't been so fastidious in making up such a wiring loom. However, the result is a completely invisible modification.

The stalk is a bit too short and I'm seriously looking out for a black tip from the end of an indicator stalk to match it, but it's so easy to operate. I had to locate it further down the trim to ensure the connectors won't short on the steering column; it's a bit big.

In particular, this has a J-Type OD which operates much more smoothly, so it cuts in and out superbly with the momentary switch together with the click-clack sound of the relay behind the binnacle. I couldn't bring myself to dril my dashboard so the light is also in the steering column trim and is very visible.

I'm delighted to have got rid of the unsightly old switch and terribly untidy wiring.

Attached is what I've done.

As noted by other users, I'm also struggling with photos otherwise I'd have summarised it as a post instead of an attachment.
