Gear Selection Light

Hi All,

Quick question... I replaced the bulb for the auto gear selection lever at the weekend. I expected that only the selected gear would glow, but in fact all positions above the selected gear are also illuminated. Is this correct or have I just put the thing back together incorrectly?

That is correct, all the gears should light and the gear selected indicated with a small square.

George,

Please let me clarify. All the gear letters/numbers (P,R,N,D,2,1) are illuminated all the time, I think thats as it should be.

However, when a gear e.g. Drive is selected, the small square next to D is also lit, but so are those next to P, R & N... does that make sense?

No, then the little black plastic piece that runs with the selector is broken. A new one is not cheap for what it is.
