Default 360 GLE - RADIUS ARM BUSHES AND TOP MOUNT

We've got a 1988 360 GLE that needs new radius arm bushes and a top suspension mount.

Can anyone tell me if these are Volvo only spares as the German Swedish and French catalogue I have doesn't list them. If you have got them elsewhere could you let me know where please?

Also in changing the front top mount, do you have to do a full removal of the strut or is there enough play to get the old one out and the new one in without breaking and dismantling the suspension joints etc?

Thanks in advance

Nigel

you can get the top mounts from euro carparts very cheap, go to superflex for the bushes there cheaper and much better, there on www.superflex.co.uk, look up 360GLT in there catalog, dont worry there the same as gle.

its much easier to take struts out, there isnt enouth room, its not as bad is it seems, knock steering balljoint off strut, unbolt lower balljoint on lower wishbone (much easier than other way) unbolt antiroll bar (easier if both sides of car are jacked up, and unbolt brake caliper, saves bleeding brakes, then undo top 3 bolts and lift out complete, takes me 15mins to remove mine

Thanks for the advice - I always seem to split the gaiters when breaking joints, so I try and avoid it where possible - hence the question. The Superflex bushes are an excellent tip which is much appreciated.

Do you have a web address for Euro to get a top mount? I've had a hack around the web and get a foreign site but not a UK one. I also had a look at our yellow pages directories - I'm not sure if there is one in South Wales as I can't see any listed?

Thanks again for info

I think the nearest to you is Bristol, thats where I live, they do do mail order on the internet, go to there website www.eurocarparts.co.uk, enter your car type, then go to suspension, there listed under top suspention mounts, the part number is 609660020 and there £19.99 each, they hold them in stock too. I have the superflex bushes on mine with pinsharp handling and no lose of comfort.

You could give German, Swedish and French a ring at their new Cardiff depot in Bessemer Road (off Sloper Road near Ninian Park) on 02920 347900. They don't list them in their old catalogue but it is possible that they might be able to get them for you.

All the best, Peter
