Yeah I've heard of the update. Doubt mine has it as the sensor isn't recognised by the car. Wonder if there is an update to make it work?

Default Oil level sensor issue

Hi I have a v50 d5 2006 I have mesage on the dash info panel saying service engine service required,
The diagnostics unit shows engine service required and it’s showing that the circuit or or wiring to the sensor is faulty can some one tell me where the sensor is and where the wiring is for this so I can trace them back

under the bottom of the sump

there are 3 wires , 5v positive
earth
and the output which is a digitally encoded signal carrying the data of oil temp , oil quality and oil level
