Default re-build

Well just got my new car don’t know much about these but have work on most cars and dun a few one off specials but this one I am keeping for myself.
It will need lots of welding and the engine rebuilding as it is in bits at the moment some will say get a car that is on the road but I get more enjoyment out of putting a car back on the road than just driving it about . So hopefully someone on this forum can give me some advice if I get stuck on some things. This is what it looks like at the moment but photos can lie. Cheers bill

Most of the panels you will need are readily available, plenty of people have been down this road before so just ask and i'm sure your questions will be answered. Oh and welcome by the way

4969 - 20 is a B20A that was originally in one of the 140 types. A cam and a single Stromberg, which you probably have along with the head. 1737**? is the actual engine number and should be on the V5 if has been updated, being as this engine is not original. Non original colour too but it suits the car.
Good luck with the rust.

Default new parts

Well the new parts for the car have arrived they only tuck 24h from me placing the order with Brookhouse Volvo parts first rate .
Today I started to cut out the old metal ready for welding in the new parts with a angle grinder what I who’d give for a plasma cuter. When I weld in the new parts I will drill them and spot weld them on but first thing is to get them primed to stop them rusting from the inside again. Also can anyone tell me what the numbers on my vin plate mean last numbers are 430-595 any help will most appreciated. Cheers bill
