No but I do use BP8HS plugs on some of the hotter engines. A BP7## would also work for harder driven engines

Back in the early 80's, I went to pick up my '62 Amazon from the original owner's next-door neighbor, who had stored it unused for 10 years.
In the trunk was a whole bunch of new spare parts that the long-dead original owner had squirreled away during his ownership--mufflers (2), air filters (6), oil filters (6), cap/rotor/points/condensor (3), ball joints, bushings, etc, etc...
He was that kind of guy.

And four 8-packs of AC Delco plugs, #44FF, correct at the time for B18A/D/B.
I have 11 left, 1 is in a piece of machinery somewhere around here, working just fine...

So Edmonton guy, I'd be happy to send you a quartet of these new vintage plugs, with their perfect vintage boxes, for the cost of shipping across this great land...
I'm guessing they'll work just fine.

Michael

Thanks for the offer northNH but I actually just found the plugs. The part number has now been updated to BPR6HS, or it least it has in Canada.

BPR6HS and BP6HS are not the same. The ‘R’ in BPR6HS indicates that it is a resistor plug. See (towards the bottom of the page):

Thanks for the help guys. I'm disappointed with the NGK customer service now.

I called and asked where to find the BP6HS plug in Canada and I was told that you can't as it has been replaced by the BPR6HS. She said it's just the newer version of the same plug.

After reading your comments I called to clarify. This is the line I got

"It's the same plug, the BP6Hs is now longer available and this is it's replacement."

"But the R stands for resistor, correct? So it's a resistor plug, right?"

"Yes, that is correct."

"So they aren't really the same plug then."

"They are the same plug. They are a direct replacement. The other plugs are no longer available."

It was clear she wasn't getting my point, so I ended the call.

What do you think I should do? Will these plugs cause me problems?

If you get ignition buzz on your older radio it might cure that but basically I doubt if you'll notice any difference.
It's a pretty universal plug and used in atv's, boats, snowmobiles etc so I suspect that checking local shops will find you a set or two with no problems. BP6HS that is. Plenty from the USA on eBay.

Put your old cap and rotor back on one at a time as a check as well. Lots of dodgy new rotors about. Wipe cap inside and out with WD40. Idle engine in the pitch dark and look for sparking leads.
Sorry to be slow on this one, but after the dizzy help I wanted good plugs. saw recommendation for NGKs.
NGK BP6HS

On ebay further numbers are given...are they significant? ie NGK3511 and NGK6326 both under the ad for NGK BP6HS
There also seems to be vast range of prices....
Hope you can help
