1800e fuel line routing under hood
I've searched and haven't found a definitive answer.
The metal fuel lines (one supply, one return) come from the tank and terminate near the clutch fork. From there rubber fuel lines go between the block and fender to the front of the engine and are routed to the fuel rail and pressure regulator between the valve cover and thermostat housing. When I bought this car the lines were simply hanging and I secured them in foam tubing and zip tied to them available points to prevent rubbing and eventual failure. It seems that the metal line could be extended (and secured) to run to the fuel rail and FPR, connected at both ends with a short piece of rubber fuel line and clamps. However I can't find any info on the proper method. Pictures online seem to show the rubber line all the way from the clutch fork to the fuel rail, but I can't see how they're secured to prevent rubbing on other components along the way. Would appreciate any info how to properly route the lines, whether metal or rubber, and how to properly secure them. TIA. Last edited by c1800; Jul 3rd, 2017 at 03:26. |
