windscreen washer jets
Having got the brakes and suspension bushes sorted, my 1800s is now back on the road and drives very nicely now. However, magically in the meantime, the windscreen washer jets have both literally fallen to bits. Rather then messing about, Ill just buy new ones as the existing ones look as though they could be original. try as I might though, I cannot shift the existing ones. Anyone got a tip for what should be a very straightforward thing to fix without scratching the paint? Phil

They are held in place by a nut, which is accessed by a recess under the bonnet..
You will need a long socket or some have a threaded plate similar to a wing nut. The tube will have to pulled off the jet first, obviously. Hope this helps Dave |

Phil,
If you look at new ones on the brookhouse volvo site it shows what the nut/ plate looks like. Sometimes there's a rubber grommet that covers the recess. They are a bit awkward to get at. Dave |
