How to find date of manufacture?

Dear All, as per title, I'd like to find the date of manufacture of my 130. Have all the details of car from chassis and have pinned down manufacture date to between Aug-Dec 1962, but would really like to know the date it came off the production line. Any good suggestions of whom to contact?

You could try looking at the wheels close up. If they're the originals you may be able to read the date stamped near the stud holes on the outer surface.

Thanks Mark, now confused as the markings clearly show 4/62[?]

My chassis number is 8960. Have just rechecked here http://www.volvoamazonpictures.se/pr...production.php which clearly shows 8960 was made between 01.1962 and 07.1962

Date range Chassis from-to
January 1962-July 1962 1853-10499

So based on this data Agatha was built in April 1962. Next, to find the actual date she rolled off the production line...

I recently emailed Adm.historical.archive@volvo.com
who provided the exact day of manufacture and all the numbers, so you can check if the engine, gearbox, etc are all original.

I've just been asking the same question on the forum for my 940, I was advised to look at the seat belts which have a tag on them giving the date of manufacture.
