Default Brake Band Adjustment

Has anyone carried out an adjustment of the brake band on a BW35 gearbox ?
According to a post there is an inspection panel that requires the removal of carpet around the transmission tunnel.
Does anyone know which side ? or more precisely where said panel lurks ?

I sourced Gulf ATF type F and a new filter.
So transmission service is next on the agenda.

I have just changed the front discs and calipers to vented (from solid)

So all calipers are new.
New front bearings.
All engine electrics have been replaced.
It's getting there, after the gearbox will be the diff that gets an oil change.
So mechanically it will be sound , just the aesthetics need attention.

Rear band adjuster is on the driver's side on a RHD car. Torque to 10ft-lb and then back off one turn. It needs a special socket for the adjuster but that can be made quite easily.

Front band adjustment requires removal of the sump and the adjustment is a little more complicated which I'm happy to explain if you actually intend to tackle it.

Upon draining and removing Gearbox sump and identifying the filter it would seem the gearbox has been changed to a BW55.

All the specs I posted were for the BW35 so I'd advise you to check that the BW55 is the same before doing any adjustments.
