Default v40 Windscreen wiper fault

Hi. The wipers on my 2000 v40 wont self-park nor work on intermittent!
I've checked the motor and stalk (ie. changed them). I suspect that there's a relay that controls these functions, but so far, I've been unable to locate it! I've recently been inside the ECU to replace a headlight relay, and noted that there are others lurking in there! From what I've read, the ECU is not the most relable of units. So. My question therefore is do the symptons indicate a relay problem, or something else, and where is the wiper relay located? Thanks.

If you try and search for my thread on the CEM (it's not called the ECU) you'll probably find all the answers you need there

Afraid I'm too lazy to search for it for you

Hi Baldmosher, thanks for your reply.
I have tried trawling the threads as you suggest, but so far, have drawn a blank! Am I missing something? I've tried "V40, Windscreen, CEM, relays, etc" and combinations of these, all to no avail! If you could give me a lead I'd be very grateful.
Thanks

Was the mechanism you bought in perfect working order? My first answer would have been that it is the motor's fault. However, since you have removed the CEM and changed a relay, it is possible that something has also been done to the relay in the CEM that controls the wipers. Either open it up and try to locate that relay and replace it, or get a replacement CEM
