S40: - Exhaust blowing and knocking noise?

Hi Guys

I have bought my very first S40 1.8 Sport 52 reg with 72k on the clock, it has got the Volvo engine.

I have to say car looks the treat, but it dose have the problem with VVT but soon i will sort that out.

As i was driving yesterday heard my exhaust blowing i think its a back box, also if someone sitting in the back, when i go over the speed bums it makes the knocking noise which i hope its a exhaust is loose.

Please some one explain to me if anyone had this sort of noises before also if i were to change the exhaust what is the best one to use as in performance wise?

A performance one wont increase the performance, selling it and buying a T4 would.
