Default Chassis setting service required

This morning, I get into my car and start it up, drive out of the garage and perform a three point turn as the double garage is at 90 deg to the house and the road. I stop, get out as I had forgotten something, so goes back into the house gets what I have for gotten and get back into the car and I see on the dash a yellow triangle and I press READ and its flashes up Chassis Setting Service Required. So I take it easy on my way into work. When I came home this afternoon, the message was not there.

So my question is, why did it show that message if it was not to stay on after I had turned off the engine. Or was it her time of the month?

Thanks

Its the first time that I have seen that message. I will in the new year get the car booked in and looked at.

Just thought I would up-date you all on this. Sorry for the delay.

Two weeks ago I booked my car into Bells (Northampton) and asked them to carry out a full health check, work out why my n/s headlight wiper was not working, replace a front slide light bulb and check out the Chassis Setting Service required message and finally carry out 4-wheel alignment.

I had to have a new headlight wiper motor had to be ordered in and I had booked the car in for this to be replaced today. Whilst I had it booked in said can you look at the hassis Setting Service required that I am still getting.

The message I was getting was due to the fact that the suspension sensor was incorrectly fitted to the strut - SUM - 0013 code was found. A few days later I still got this message. Phoned the garage up and mentioned it. I took the car back in today to have a headlight wiper motor replaced and asked them to look at the message again. They found that the acceleration sensor is missing. I am surprised that they did not pick this up when they did the health check.
