Default Sat Nav Problem

I have newly aquired 2003 XC70. The GPS console is up all the time and the message appears saying it cannot read the disc. The TV works fine. I have removed, cleaned and replaced the disc. When I reinsert the disc, the message comes up 'Please wait' then after a few minutes the first message is repeated, saying it cannot read the disc. The disc has No. 30752548 0525 and Part No. T1000-9524C. It seems to be OK with no scratches, etc. Can you advise what I can do to get the system to work and, in the meanwhile, how I can get the console to retract when the ignition is on, as the control buttons on the wheel are not having any effect? I have solved the second part of my query temporarily by removing the Satnav/TV fuse. Thanks, Pete, webbypete@btinternet.com
