Default where is the air conditioning drain pipe on a V70?

I have a smell in my 2001 V70, and I have been told it is from the air conditioning. I have bought a can of Würth Air Conditioning Disinfectant Spray, which comes with a tube you insert up the air conditioning drain pipe.
I cannot find the air conditioning drain pipe.
No sign of it under the car, and I have also removed the driver footwell carpet to look for it there.
Can anybody please tell me where to find it?

Put your AC on and the cabin temperature dial(s) at its lowest setting then go for a 15 minute drive.
On a hot day (assuming that it isn't blocked), once parked up with engine off, you should see fresh water condensate dripping under the car from the drain.
If there's no water, it's most likely blocked and you'll need more than a tin of freshener.

With a clean cabin filter and leaving AC on auto, they don't smell so I'd fix the cause rather than just the smelly symptom.

I changed my cabin filter over the weekend, and found what I assume to be the drain in the passenger footwell :-)

Agree with Si above, this also keeps your system active and the pumps & seals lubricated.

This is what I did https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9m555KYsb_s
Remember to remove the cabin filter, important.

I prefer not using the a/c in cold weather (for defrost function for example), that's when mold builds up on it.

On my US model, the drain is on the left lower side of the center console, underneath, and goes right from the large white condenser box into the floor.

I seem to recall that the drain does not discharge in free air but drops the water on top of a cross member.

Did you find it did the job. My AC smells occasionally but isn't blocked. Seems like this is a good idea to kill off the bacteria around the evaporator.

It indeed worked on my car. It was smelling the swamp but not yet the skunk. Most important, since then I stopped using the A/C during the winter. Just remember to remove the air filter(s)
