Breaking 2005 XC90 T6 - Page 5

Hi. Did you happen to notice if the rear parking sensors were working with the radio before you removed it? I'm selling my wifes XC90, and in true sods-law fashion the radio has started playing up, which knocks out the parking sensors. I'm also worried this is a slightly different model to the wifes, as hers has the 6 stack CD actually in with the head unit. So not sure this will work at all as a replacement for hers.

What's your rock bottom on this? I'm near East Mids airport, so assuming not a million miles away. Don't want to spend a fortune to only find out it still doesn't work :-(

This did have the 6 disc CD unit in the head unit (its like a computer with silver box behind the slot). The stereo and the reverse sensors worked perfectly before I stripped it. I have been told that there is security software that has to be dealt with by the dealer when swapping the head unit.
I live in Shelton Lock, so if you want to drive over, we try fitting it, if it works, you give me £100, if it doesn't you decide if you want to give me £100 and take it to the dealers and get them to do their thing, or swap it back and not bother.
Alternatively you can take it straight to the dealers without trying at my house first, in which case you can have it for £90, but I will only refund the money if the dealer confirms to me the unit is faulty (not trying to be funny, but I have been messed around recently). OK, you're a bit further than I thought. £70 collected cash tomorrow i.e. Friday (won't mess you around with trying to fit it on site), and as you say, as long as it isn't FUBAR then I won't mess you around. Hi Rob. Fair enough, happy with that price. I didn't realise how close you were. I thought you were near Newark, not just the other side of Chelaston. Can I take you up on your offer of trying it first and if it works paying £100? I can do first thing tomorrow morning.
