  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Sorry just seen your reply there above - I'd personally print out the page and would use this as the basis of appeal in writing. I think lots of people will fall foul of it in the early stages.

ULEZ LEZ and clean air zones are just another way for councils to gouge your finances, they are not interested in "clean air" all they care about is how much money can be taken from you under the guise of enviromental concern.

The more I've looked into this the more the above statement is true. It is also causing a lot of non compliant vehicles to be scraped which is not good for the environment.

We use to go to London and Bristol pretty regularly but when these charges came in we stopped going, we now go and spend our money elsewhere. Luckily we don't live or work in these zones and frankly if we did we'd move, not an option for some but worth considering in the future as I can see these zones soon becoming euro 5 only then 6, then only electric and so on.
